Stargazing in Isobel Park
Dust off your telescopes and join us, with Fish 'n' Chips in hand, out into Isobel Park and look up into the stars and discover the 'Wonders of the Universe' from the safety of our home planet Earth!

Don't worry if you don't have a telescope, bring along binoculars or even your mobile phone and we'll show you amazing free tech that you can tap into!
​
From rocky, weird and wonderful planets within our own Solar System, to meteorites raining to earth, asteroids drifting within our solar system and comets travelling through our galaxy into the universe full of suns burning light years away...
IN CASE OF ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE BUILD UP i.e. 'BAD WEATHER',
HERE ARE THE 'CONTINGENCY PLANS'!

Let's face it, it's March and we've had GALE after GALE and loads of CLOUDS!...yep...more on the way. Stargazing is a Clear Sky activity...best enjoyed as soon as you spot a clear sky.......at night!!
However, we endeavour to bring you the stars, the moon AND the Sun!
6 - 7pm: So if it's BAD on the 6th March, we'll have Stargazing in the Cafe, with Aonghas, an amazing Astrophysicist, who will guide you through the stars...buy'n'bring your fish'n'chips from Osse's Plaice across the road (optional), free light refreshments, teas/coffees also available throughout the evening.

We're delighted to introduce to you our 1st Guest Speaker, Colin Palmer, Director of Wight Community Energy and dynamic Sun, Wind and Wave Energy Hunter. Colin will show us all how to catch sunlight in our hands...may the force be with you - and the weather!
