Dinosaur Isle is an all-year-round facility, combining entertainment, education and enjoyment. Displays use clever lighting,
artwork, sound, smells and animatronic
technology to create an exciting experience.
Our aim is to increase public awareness of the international importance of the Isle of Wight's diverse geology and palaeontology.
Dimbola was the home of the celebrated Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron. It is now a Museum and Gallery
dedicated to her life and work, which also showcases contemporary
exhibitions from photographers around the globe.
A visit to Dimbola can help explore topics from the history of portraiture, how art and photography have been inspired by poetry and literature and how artists and photographers engage with Art History. Dimbola is also a special place and its atmosphere has inspired many.
The leading nature conservation charity in the two counties.
We protect local wildlife and inspire people to love nature through our beautiful nature reserves and programme of events across Hampshire and the
Isle of Wight.
Wight Community Energy is a Community Benefit Society set
up to deliver community-owned renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy supply projects.
The site will help the Isle of Wight meet its own renewable energy targets.
'The Secret of Star Patterns' in the night sky explores the link between Astronomy (the study of stars and planets) and Neuroscience (the study of the brain and nervous system). Using Memosky® an interactive Sky Constellation Card Game suitable for all!
The centre houses the largest exhibition of
its kind in the UK. Bursting with thousands of relics from shipwrecks and "Treasures from the Deep" including beautiful "Pieces of Eight", Spanish Gold, and items salvaged from galleons, steamships and wartime submarines.
Dinosaur Expeditions is a Community Interest Company created by local fossil enthusiasts to help the local community and visitors to the Isle of Wight learn more about our unique fossil heritage and locally produced palaeoart.
The aim of our research is to reconnect humans with nature.
Studies have shown that spending time in natural spaces is good for our physical and mental well being. We also know
that our wildlife is in trouble and
our efforts are needed to increase
biodiversity and provide resource
for wildlife.
